Always crashing, not a good update.

New update causes app to crash as soon as my home screen goes to sleep. Please fix for your listeners outside the BA.

Doesnt work. After update it actually got worse. Please fix. Unacceptable!!

This app used to have small crashing issues every now and then. Especially when transitioning from the advertisement to the audio stream on initial startup. Now it freezes/crashes every few minutes. Every time I start the app I usually have to wait for one ad then swipe it closed then watch another ad and then the stream will start. I used to listen to this app for about 6 hours a day. Ive been forced to seek other sports talk shows in the past few weeks.

You have to watch a 30 second commercial just to be able to listen to a station that already has commercials. Seriously????

This app is currently unusable even after the recent update. After a few minutes the app will crash every time I try to use it. It will stay playing longer if you keep your phone unlocked and have the app up. The second you switch to another app or lock the phone the app will crash. Additional you are FORCED to watch video commercials every time you launch the app. With the app crashing every other minute you have to wait an additional minute of a video commercial to relaunch the app. AND if you lock the phone while the video commercial is playing the app will just stop. It doesnt continue to play the commercial audio so you can at least get back to the app. Would give this ZERO STARS if I could.

As a former Bay Area resident living in Portland, use the app to listen to Gary and Larry (all the other shows are HORRIBLE). Its 9:21, been listening since 9:05 - and its crashed 5 times already. Until a couple of weeks ago, never had a problem with the app. Ever since, it crashes at least once in the 3 hours I listen, but usually crashes multiple times. And as someone else said, ridiculous that youre forced to watch an ad every time you launch it.

Guaranteed to crash

Ever since I updated the app few weeks ago, it often crashes every 5 minutes, and when you relaunch you have to watch a 30 second video Sometime it crashes more than once during a regular radio station break. So all Im doing is fiddling with my iPad, listening continuous commercials I think the app update really screwed it up. Is it a new software app company. So, I moved back to listening to NPR. Too bad, cuz and I really like Murph & Mac

Almost completely useless. Crashes nonstop. Every once in awhile it will work without an issue for about 2 hours, but that doesnt happen very often. If you are a devout KNBR listener and you thought you couldnt possibly hear them cram one more commercial in a 60 minute window, youre in for a treat! Flo from Progressive or John Handlery will annoy you with an additional "hey, you opened the app" commercial before they annoy you on their regular spots every 7 mins!!

Crashes nonstop. Amazing how the flagship station of the Bay Area, next door to Silicon Valley, has such an awful app

I love KNBR but moved out of the area for work. Need to keep up with Bay Area sports, but this app is impossible. Always crashes, commercials always work! Frustrating listening to 90% commercials due to app issues and constant rebooting. Really wish theyd fix it

I just want to listen to the Giants game! I gave up after 12 minutes of commercials, and the game hadnt come on yet. Ridiculous. Deleting now.

The KNBR app does not seem to play KNBR. I downloaded to listen to the AM Giants broadcast only to find an endless commercial playing continuously while play was live. I guess Ill go find an AM/FM radio and return to the 1990s. Oh, additional bummer, cant leave a zero-star rating. Totally undeserving of this one star.. I get the feeling that a lot of people dropped the ball on this, shame on all of you.

Updated 4-5-16: Seems like KNBR read these reviews! The last few days, it only stopped once, and the app starts up without more than an occasional video ad which goes straight through to regular programming. I left it on all night and it was still going! Happy again. Yessss.... Previous review: Video ads, crashes, more video ads. Sometimes you just wanna listen to the radio, you know? I dont have time to wait for an ad to play out so I can press the tiny X, only to have it crash again, and I have to go through the whole process one more time. (What do I say to my boss when he walks by and finds me watching videos?) Now I can only listen to KNBR in my car, like the old days. If I was a regular KNBR advertiser I might not be very happy with the fact that people cant hear the ads that I paid for.

Video ads are forced down your throat on every reconnect, headphone removal, wifi interruption, etc... You must keep app open and basically not move. Awful, awful app.

All I want to do is listen to the live KNBR feed. I dont mind the occasional commercial but because of the repeated crashes and restarts forcing MORE commercials on me, it is totally worthless. Wish there was a way to give it 0 stars.
